Optional Extras:
Increase the flexibility of your schedules with one of our expansion packs. Both packs contain a film of self-adhesive, pre scored plastic film. The pre-printed expansion packs contain images on the theme in the title. The blank symbols pack has a sheet of pre-scored plastic film, and images of your choosing can be printed using a regular laser printer or alternatively drawn on by hand with a permanent pen. Once the images are on the plastic film, simply remove from the backing paper and place onto the blank plastic symbol squares included in the pack.

Activity Choice Board
This A4 Activity Choice board presents the user with a number of different options about what they would like to do. It helps to improve communication and develop independence.
Containing a range of indoor and outdoor activities, sedentary and active ones, it’s a great first step towards better communication.
Snack Choice Board
This Snack Choice Board follows the same format as our Activity Choice Board, only it allows the person to select from 15 different food and drink options.
It includes healthy options and treats, as well as ‘adult’ options such as tea and coffee, so it is suitable for almost everyone.
Emotions Board
This simple, yet effective, Emotions Board allows the person to clearly communicate how they are feeling at any given time.
It provides a voice to those that might otherwise not have it, and allows for a better two-way understanding between the person themselves and those around them.
Communication Keyring
This useful, pocket sized, keyring, comes with a collection of 16 symbol cards for users to express their basic wants and needs. It allows them to easily express how they are feelings (e.g. hot/cold, hungry/thirsty etc), and also what they would like (e.g. toilet, car, to go home). It also comes with one blank symbol.
It is fantastic to promote communication, and reduce stress and meltdowns.
Feelings Board
This is a perfect way to teach someone how to first identify and then communicate how they are feeling.
Its colour-coded scale is a clear visual indicator, making it easy to see and learn from.
It comes with a matching colour-coded keyring, so the same system can be used whilst out and about.

Visual communication provides a more reliable method of communication for the person, which can reduce frustration and meltdowns due to not being understood.
These visuals have been specially selected to enhance communication in many different areas of the person's life - their wants/needs, what they would like to eat or drink, what they would like to do, and how they are feeling and their emotions. Used together, these can really improve the communication the person can engage in, and can significantly improve overall communication levels.
Boards are A4 in size, so are easy to see whilst remaining easy to use and portable. Symbols are 4.5cm which we have found is the ideal size for small hands to manipulate whilst remaining easy to see, and the keyring is 7cm - large enough to easily see whilst outside but small enough to fit in your pocket.
